Newport Harbor Scarf
Scarf is made of a woven polyester material that looks and feels just like silk and features James Nicholson's 1888 painting of Newport Harbor. This over-sized and billowing scarf's stunning colors will add a pop to any outfit and looks great over ones shoulders as a shawl!
Nicholson immigrated to Newport from Scotland and worked as a master joiner on several summer cottages. As a self-taught painter, this image of Newport Harbor beautifully captures a typical day along Newport's working waterfront of the late 1800's, including the Eolus, a steamship which brought thousands of visitors to this city on the sea.
