Compass Rose Cutting Board
Tempered 8"x 8" glass cutting board with an image of a compass that doubles as a serving tray or cheese board!
The compass rose detail is taken from a hand drawn map of Daniel Gould's farm in Middletown, Rhode Island. The original map includes a listing of abutters and depictions of individual trees, a grave, a corn crib, and a spring that "never dries." This property descended through the family of Daniel Gould (1625-1716), a persecuted Quaker from the Massachusetts Bay Colony and early settler of Newport.
